Here at MINI of Peabody, we’re always excited to learn more about a new MINI model. One vehicle we’ve had our eye on lately is the MINI Cooper SE Prototype. If you want to go green while enjoying everything that the typical MINI car has to offer, you’ll want to keep an eye on this new model.
The MINI Cooper SE Prototype was recently tested out by a few journalists. The MINI brand wanted to show what its new green car can do. We were able to learn a few things from their test drives, including that this electric MINI vehicle would have a range of around 120 miles on one charge. That’s a big deal because one thing that can scare drivers away from an electric car is the idea that the battery won’t last, leaving them stranded before they can get to their destination. A 120-mile range is perfectly suitable for running errands or tackling a daily commute to work.
The MINI Cooper SE Prototype also gets that battery power back rather quickly after it’s been drained. You could charge with a fifty kilowatt D/C charger to get back eighty percent of the battery in just forty minutes. A standard household power supply will charge it back to full in twelve hours.
Otherwise, this is a MINI car just like the ones you already know and love. It still promises to offer a fun driving experience and it should have enough room to seat four. If you’re thinking about an electric car, you’ll want to take this one for a spin when it arrives later this year.
Whether you’re trying to go green or you’re all about performance, the MINI brand will always have something to offer you. Visit our dealership and talk to our MINI dealers serving Greater Boston. We’ll make it easy to pick out the perfect vehicle. We look forward to helping you find your next car!
