Where do you find inspiration? We find inspiration in the MINI cars we offer here at MINI of Peabody MA. And we also find inspiration from unique and inspiring U.S. Olympians and their stories, whom the automaker salutes in a new advertising campaign set to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

It’s all part of the latest installment of the automaker’s campaign that urges drivers and fans to “Defy Labels.” The campaign features a 30-second ad set to air ahead of the Olympics, which open August 5, as well as during the games.

The ad features several U.S. Olympians, both current and former, and their stories:

Tennis superstar Serena Williams says, “No one can define you. No one can put a label on you. Only you can do that.”

Rugby player Carlin Isles tells his story as well: “As a kid, I knew I was different. And I was fine with it, ‘cause I knew at the end of the day, I was gonna be somebody.”

“I think it’s really, really important to teach women and to teach girls to embrace their bodies,” says weightlifting athlete Morghan King. “And I think that’s pretty powerful for a woman.”

And boxer Claressa Shields says, “I want to inspire… and make people who feel broken, feel unbroken… You can’t let people tell you what you can and can’t do, ‘cause I didn’t.”

The folks who make MINI cars sure know all about doing their own thing, forging their own path, and defying convention. And that’s why the automaker’s support of unique U.S. Olympians is so inspiring. You can find inspiration in the U.S. Olympians as they compete this summer, as well as the inspiration you’ll find driving cars like the 2016 MINI Cooper Hardtop 2 Door and 2016 MINI Countryman from MINI of Peabody.
