There’s big news from the MINI stand at the 2018 New York International Auto Show. Three 2019 MINI models – the 2019 MINI Hardtop, 2019 MINI Hardtop 4 Door, and 2019 MINI Convertible – will receive several excellent enhancements in the areas of technology, customization, and design. Three terrific subcompacts, about to get even better.

Let’s start with technology. Beginning next model year, every MINI Hardtop in Peabody, MA, along with its four-door and soft-top siblings, will feature touchscreen functionality. Moreover, each car’s MINI Connected digital services will add MINI Online, bringing real-time info including news, weather, and traffic reports. And as if that weren’t enough, these vehicles’ technology portfolio will also include Apple CarPlay, concierge service, remote services, MINI teleservices, and intelligent distress call. This menu of next-gen services, typically the province of luxury vehicles with a much higher price tag, represents yet another way in which the MINI brand proves its value.

Regarding customization, if you’ve spent any time online researching a “MINI for sale near me”, you already know that MINI vehicles are some of the auto industry’s most customizable cars. And now, for the first time ever, these three 2019 models will offer the sleek-looking Piano Black Exterior finish as a factory option. Incidentally, this same finish will be optional in the cabin too, along with a new Malt Brown color option for the Chester leather upholstery that’s available for select vehicles.

Design-wise, we know you’ll love the exterior upgrades made to these 2019 models. New alloy wheels, new metallic paint colors, and a revamped LED headlight design are ready to roll, as are three-dimensional LED rear lamps with a new light array that cleverly plays off the MINI brand’s Union Jack motif.

More information on these models is coming your way. Stay tuned!
